CS-Cart version 4 coming soon

CS-Cart has recently announced the beta release of new CS-Cart version 4 (Ultimate and Multi-Vendor editions) which cardinally differs from the previous versions and now has got various significant advantages. The official release date is still unknown, but we hope the new CS-Cart will be completely ready in summer, 2013. Currently CS-Cart team is busy with a bug-fixing.

Here are the following significant changes made in the new version:

• Completely new interface of the Admin panel. 

Now it looks different from the former versions and has new navigation, modern design and some new functionality. 

 



 

• Built-in theme editor.

Now you can change storefront colors, fonts, logos, backgrounds in real time without a single line of HTML or CSS code written.

 



 

• Long-awaited Image Zoom add-on.

It allows to enlarge the image by hovering over it. There are also different settings allowing to set the color for the image backdrop appearing upon hovering, zoom position, caption position etc.

 



 

• Previous-Next navigation add-on.

It allows shoppers to navigate to the previous and next product directly from the product details page:

 



 

• Promo text.

Ability to set Promo text on a product details page with the aim to draw customers’ attention to some necessary information:



 

• Discount label

Those products that are sold with a discount (with a List price indicated) get a discount label displayed on a product details page:

• Clickable Brand name on a product details page.

When clicking on a Brand name of a definite product, you automatically go to a page where all the products of this brand are displayed.

• Show the number of available products on a product details page.

This setting allows you to display the number of product that are left in Stock.

• Social buttons add-on gives customers an opportunity to share pages and products on social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Vkontakte) or send pages by E-Mail.

• Supplier add-on which has two useful options: display product supplier company and display shopping methods to each supplier separately.

• Page load speed optimization. 

   

There are also some other changes to highlight that you can expect in CS-Cart v. 4:

• Layout editor: ability to disable/ enable grids. 

• Filter results are now URL-defined and can be referred to with browser back and forward actions.

• Store selector added to admin profile. 

• Ability to define different email subject and header for different stores.

• Main storefront administrator can now manage other administrators of the same storefront.

• Lots of small improvements and bug fixes.
