'Recurring billing' add-on
The Recurring Billing add-on is created to help business owners to sell and track products based on the subscription (e.g. membership fees, subscription services, hosting plans, etc.).
CS-Cart allows to create your own recurring plan which automates the process.
In order to set up the Recurring Billing add-on:
- Sign in your administration panel;
- Open the Administration tab;
- Click on the Add-ons link;Find the the Recurring billing add-on in the list;
- Replace its status from Disabled to Active in the select box on the right;
- This will enable the add-on;
- Clicking on the edit link of the Recurring Billing add-on will open the section;
- Specify the following fields in this section:
- Initial status for new recurring orders – the specified status will be automatically attached to new orders with subscriptions.
- Number of attempts after order failed - number of attempts to pay for previously failed orders.
- Next attempt if order failed – number of days before new attempt to pay a failed order.
- Go to the Orders tab in the same window.
- Fill in the following fields here:
- E-mail subjects: specify custom subjects for the e-mail notification the users will get in case status of their order is changed;
- E-mail headers: specify custom headers for the email notifications the users will get in case status of their order is changed.
- Go to the Notification tab in the same window;
- Fill in the following fields here:
- Notification duration – specify the number of days preceding the payment when the subscriber starts receiving reminders.
- E-mail subject - Subject of an email notification.
- E-mail header - Header of an email notification.
- Click on the Save button.
