How to add the alternative status to a product

1. After the add-on installation in the administration panel go to Products → Products → choose the necessary product → click "Alternative statuses" tab.
2. On the appeared page you can create alternative statuses for any quantity or quantity range of products available in stock. The corresponding status will be displayed in the storefront according to the quantity of products in stock at the moment. 

   See the screenshot below:

   

   • Quantity  - here you can input the quantity of products in stock for which the specified status will be displayed;
   • Value - here you can input statuses for every quantity range.  

     For example, as you can see on the screenshot above, if the quantity of products in stock is 20 the "Available!" status will be displayed. If the quantity of products in stock is between 1 and 20 the "Only [x] items left" status will be displayed (where [x] is the quantity of products in stock at the moment from the range 1-20).

   Note! To display the quantity of products in stock you need to use [x] variable and the quantity of products will be displayed and recalculated automatically on the product details page.

3. Click "Save" button when you are done with the statuses.

How to bulk edit alternative stock statuses

It is possible to bulk edit alternative stock statuses via Global update.

1. In the administration panel go to Products -> Products, click Global update link on top of the screen.

2. Fill out the Alternative statuses section in the appeared window and add the products where you would like to apply these statuses.

3. Click "Apply" button.

How to display alternative stock statuses in a product list

In order to dispaly alternative stock statuses in a product list, please take the steps below:

1. In the administration panel go to Settings ->Appearance.

2. In the "Customer settings" section make sure that the box Display In Stock as a field is not checked.

3. Save.

Installation instruction

1. Download the archive with the In stock/Out-of-stock alternative statuses add-on.
2. Unpack the archive's content and upload files to your server in the root directory with the installed CS-Cart.
3. Log into the administration panel of your store, go to the Administration -> Add-ons page.
4. In the list of add-ons find the In stock/Out-of-stock alternative statuses add-on and click Install opposite to its name.
5. That's all, the add-on is installed.
6. Choose Active status.
