CS-Cart localization

The Localization is a feature provided by CS-Cart which allows to adapt the software to regional differences such as:

• currency,
• language,
• measures of weight.

If the country specified in the profile of a customer fits any localization specified in the administration panel, the parameters will be displayed according to the settings of the localization.

In order to set up a localization, follow the instructions below:

• Sign in your administration panel;
• Go to the Shipping/taxes tab;
• Follow the Localizations link;
• In case the localization already exists, click on the Edit button;
In case the localization already exists, click on the Edit button;
• In case it doesn't, create new one.
• Clicking on the Add localization button will open New localization window;
• Fill in the following fields in it:
• Name – type the name of localization in the Name input field.
• Default – tick this check-box, if you want the localization to be selected for cases when it's not possible to define the localization of a customer by a country, IP address, cookies.
• Use custom weight settings - tick this check-box if you want custom weight settings to be used.
• As soon as you tick it, new input fields will be displayed:
• Weight symbol - type the necessary value;
• Grams in the unit of weight defined by the weight symbol - type the necessary value.
• Go to the Items tab.

• In order to select the country:
• Click on the necessary country in the Available items section with a list of countries on the right;
• Clicking on the <- button will move it to the left box Selected items.
• In order to select Currency:
• Choose GB Pounds, for example, in the Available items section with a list of countries on the right side;
• Clicking on the <- button will move it to the left box Selected items.
• In order to select Language:
• Choose English in the Available items section with a list of languages on the right side;
• Clicking on the <- button will move it to the left box Selected items.
• Click on the Create (if adding) or the Save button (if editing).

After you have created a localization, choose it in the Localization option on the details pages of the desired products, categories, shippings (destinations), payments, pages, ads and news in your administration pane in order to display them for customers from the address selected for the localization.
