CS-Cart "Order status SMS notifications" add-on allows you to send SMS notifications to customers with the information about the status of their order.
Since this add-on helps to keep customers up-to-date about the current order status, it increases trust in your business and works for customers' convenience.
Features:
- The ability for users to choose whether to “Receive notifications about the order status by SMS” or not at registration, in a user profile or before placing an order.
- “Send SMS” checkbox on the order details page in the admin back-end to send the SMS with the order status info to a customer.
- The ability for an administrator to type in his own text for SMS about a certain order status on the order status editing page.
- Ability to use the following parameters in the SMS text (automatically replaced with the necessary values):
- order id,
- tracking number
- total order price.
This add-on uses Clickatell Service for SMS sending. UTF-8 is supported (it allows to display SMS text correctly on different languages).

Compatibility:
- The add-on works correctly in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera latest browser versions.
- The add-on is compatible with CS-Cart 3.0.x, CS-Cart 4.0.x. - 4.11.x. (including Multivendor).
Notes:
- The add-on doesn't work with Arabic languages.

Add-on settings
Go to Administration -> Add-ons -> "Order status sms notifications" add-on. After the add-on installation click "Edit" opposite to the add-on name. On the appeared page you can see the add-on settings:
Signature - if your sms service allows you to use a signature, type in your signature here. Customers will see this signature in the sms.
APIKEY - type in APIKEY for Clickatell service.
Note: There is a section Concatenation for Cs-Cart v.4 This section is responsible for the long messages, that can not be placed in one SMS. By default the Clickatell parameters are defined there.
Where to write SMS text to notify customers about a certain order status?
1. For Cs-Cart v.3 go to Orders -> Order statuses -> Edit the necessary status.
For Cs-Cart v.4 go to Administration -> Order statuses->Edit the necessary status.

2. On the order status editing page tick the Send sms checkbox if you want to send sms to customers when the order gets this order status.
3. Type in the text for sms in the Text SMS field located below the Send sms checkbox.
Example sms text:
Your order #[order_id] is accepted. Thank you for choosing us.
Where
[order_id] is an order number parameter which will be replaced with the necessary number automatically.
Your order #[order_id] is sent to your destination. The tracking number is #[track]. Order total price is $[total].
Where

[track] is a tracking number parameter of the order that will be replaced with the necessary number automatically.
[total] is the total order cost.
4. For Cs-Cart v.4. Please pay attention to the field Use Unicode in SMS. This field is added only for Cs-Cart v.4 versions. If this field is checked, the SMS are sent in the Unicode format. If you use English language for messages, you do not need to use Unicode. This feature is useful for messages that don't use the Latin alphabet. In case you do not check this field your clients will get the corrupted text in the SMS. However, the max quantity of the symbols is reducing in SMS if you use Unicode. (see add-on's settings).
Now the text of the SMS on the Order Status editing page is set automatically according to the order language. Example: There are two different messages: in English and in German that are assigned to the order status. By default before the SMS sending the Order status SMS notification add-on detects the value of the language code and send SMS using the appropriate language. Checkbox Use Unicode in SMS is also working separately for each language.
5. Don't forget to save changes.
How and where to send SMS?
1. Go to Orders -> View orders -> click the necessary order to view.
2. Choose the necessary order status from the select box located on the right and check the Send sms checkbox below. See the example screenshot:
3. If a customer declined sms notifications at registration or before placing an order, you will see a message "SMS notifications were declined by this customer or this customer is unregistered".
4. SMS notifying about the order status chosen by admin will be sent automatically to the customer if this customer had checked "Receive notifications about the order status by sms" checkbox at registration or before placing an order.
Please note! Don't forget to type in sms text for an order status on order status editing page.
Where can a customer choose whether to “Receive notifications about the order status by sms”?
1. At registration after the shipping address field. See the screenshot below:

Installation Instructions:
- Download the archive with the add-on files from our website after the payment.
- Save this archive on your computer.
- Go to the Admin panel in your CS-Cart store.
- In the admin panel go to the “Modules” page
- Click on the “+” button.
- A pop-up window with a file selection will be opened.
- Select the download item, after which you can select the add-on archive, you downloaded before.
- After selecting the archive, click the “Download and Install” button.
