Product unit price CS-Cart add-on

CS-Cart “Product unit price” add-on adds a "per unit" information on the following line after a product price. It is a convenient tool because customers will clearly know the product unit (piece, kg, square meter, etc.) that they pay for.

Features:

"Per unit" text is added on the following line after the price on product details page, in product listings, on cart contents page, in the invoice, on order details page.
Ability for administrator to create different unit names/text.
Separate admin page to create, edit and delete "per unit" content.
Text can be edited in WYSIWYG and HTML editor.
Ability for administrator to choose the unit item (for example per piece, per meter, per kg, etc) for a certain product from a select-box on product editing page.
Ability to bulk edit product units.

It is possible to use this add-on for adding not only "per unit" information but any other message on the following line after a product price.

Compatibility:

This add-on works correctly in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera latest browser versions.

The add-on is compatible with CS-Cart 2.2.х, CS-Cart 3.0.х., CS-Cart 4.x.x.

It works correctly on CS-Cart, MultiVendor, Ultimate editions.

Notes:

1. We offer free installation of this add-on for the default CS-Cart versions (that don't have any serious file changes and additional modules). Otherwise, the installation may require additional charge.

2. After the payment is confirmed, you will be able to download the add-on from the order details page.

Where to create a unit item?

1. After the add-on installation go to Products -> Unit Price. You will see a Price per unit page.

2. Click the Add unit price item button on the Price per unit page.

3. Type in the necessary information on the appeared page. See the screenshot below:

Unit price

Title - the title of the unit that will appear in the select-box on product editing page.

Description - text that will be displayed on product details page in the storefront after the price.

Status - choose Active and unit item will be displayed in the storefront after enabling it for a certain product. Choose Disabled and it will not be possible to display unit item in the storefront.

Don't forget to press "Create" button.

4. All created unit items will be available on "Price per unit" page (Products -> Unit Price). It is possible to delete and edit unit items on this page.

How to enable a unit item for a certain product?

1. Go to Products -> Products -> click the necessary product.

2. On product editing page (General tab) you will see a Price per unit select-box.

3. Choose the necessary Unit item for this product.

4. Don't forget to save changes.

How to bulk edit unit items?

It is possible to bulk edit unit items via Global update.

1. In the admin back-end go to Products -> Products, click the Global update link on top of the screen.

2. Choose the necessary Unit price in the appeared window and click the Add Product link to add products where you would like to apply this unit.

3. Click the Apply button.

Installation

1. Download the archive with the Product unit price add-on.

2. Unpack the archive's content and upload files to your server in the root directory with the installed CS-Cart.

3. Log into the administration panel of your store, go to the Administration -> Add-ons page.

4. In the list of add-ons find the Product unit price add-on and click Install opposite to its name.

5. That's all, the add-on is installed.
